
Yes I did have chocolate over Easter and yes, I'm now suffering from a combination of a chocolate induced hangover / chocolate withdrawal symptoms. I'm easing myself back into moderate chocolate consumption territory with this chocolate smoothie. It's pretty much the best chocolate milkshake ever.... it is packed full of nutritious ingredients, doesn't leave me feeling full or bloated and tastes delicious. It's sweetened with dates, made creamy with frozen banana and cashew nut butter and the chocolate flavour comes from a generous serving of cacao powder. I use almond milk (my favourite) but feel free to use whatever milk you like best.

Ingredients
2.5 cup almond milk, unsweetened
1 tbsp raw cacao powder
2 tbsp cashew nut butter
1 banana, frozen*
4 medjool or sun dates, pitted
Method
Just add everything to your blender and blend until smooth. Enjoy xx
*Make sure to peel the banana and slice it before freezing it. Of course you can use unfrozen banana too; it's totally up to you :)
