
Autumn brings with it beautiful seasonal fruit and vegetables and these can be enjoyed in so many ways. Green smoothies are still so popular and with the weather turning chilly, it's time to park some of our more typical ingredients like cucumber and pineapple and turn to some seasonal produce. This smoothie's main ingredients are kale and pears. Flaxseed is added to help thicken it and to provide protein and omega 3 fatty acids. It's sweetened with honey and the cinnamon adds flavour. I use almond milk in this recipe but you can use dairy milk or soya milk if you prefer.
Ingredients
1 and a half cups of unsweetened almond milk
1 cup kale leaves
I pear
1 tbsp ground flaxseed
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tbsp honey
Method
Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
