APPLE CIDER VINEGAR, GINGER & LEMON TONIC

Updated: May 21, 2019

Apple Cider Vinegar, Ginger & Lemon Tonic

It's freezing cold and the holidays are officially over. It's high time I revisited this old recipe from the Honest Project. Lemon and hot water is a pretty usual way to start the day for many. Add some freshly grated ginger, a drop of apple cider vinegar and a pinch of cayenne pepper and you have this Winter Tonic. If desired, add some honey for sweetness. It's that simple.

Have you succumbed to the dreaded sniffles yet? I have this romantic idea that colds should only happen when you have a few days off, an open fire to sit by and a delicious homemade soup on the go. The reality is much less glamorous and usually involves missed deadlines, red noses and a nightstand full of used tissues. Therefore any little home comforts that can ease the pain of the sniffles are welcome. I'm not saying that this Winter tonic will cure your cold, but it is quite comforting to drink in between sneezes and nose blowing.

Posting this type of content in January is such a cliche, so please forgive me and remember that this is just as delicious drank all year round and even when you are fighting fit. Keep scrolling for the recipe.
