Last night I was reading through some old cards that I received during a difficult time in my life and I came across one from a good friend of mine that had a quote on it that went "the road to a friend's house is never long" and I admit to getting a little emotional when I read it. I'm not really one for posting inspirational quotes on my social media or talking about them online, but I often read them in private. Some I forget about moments after I read them. Others have stayed with me and I can honestly say have changed how I approach situations and helped me when faced with challenges. I get that there may be some eye-rolling at yet another blogger posting inspirational quotes and I get that for most people a quote isn't going to be life-changing. But just maybe on days when you are lacking motivation or having a bad day, one of these quotes might just make you feel a little better, put things in perspective or give you the answer to a difficult question.

Inspired by reading that card last night, this afternoon I sat down with a coffee and a few squares of dark chocolate and compiled my collection of favourite quotes from some really smart people :)....
