Good morning. I made this smoothie yesterday morning as I have a big day today and an early start so knew I wouldn't have time this morning to make a new smoothie and write up a blog post. This smoothie is creamylicious and quite filling. I really think it's one that children would like too. The extra creaminess comes from the cashew nuts and they also provide plant based fats and protein. Kiwi fruits are a good source of vitamin C and folate. The chia seeds provide omega 3 fatty acids which are associated with many health benefits. They are also a great source of fibre and calcium. This smoothie is dairy free, gluten free and refined sugar free. This recipe serves two portions.

Ingredients:

2 kiwi fruits

1 banana

1/2 cup cashew nuts

3 cups of almond milk

3 tablespoons of chia seeds

Method:

Add all of the ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth. Serve immediately or store in the fridge in an airtight class jar for up to 24 hours.
